Get answers to common questions about Sea Moss/Aloe Vera Conditioning Treatments.
Yes. Sea Moss/Aloe Vera Conditioning Treatments are generally safe for chemically treated hair and help restore moisture and strength. Tell us about recent color or relaxer services so we can adjust the formula; a patch test is available. No hot styling is performed.
Expect about 45 to 75 minutes depending on hair length and porosity. This includes consultation, gentle application, and resting time for maximum absorption. Because no hot work or styling is included, plan extra time if you want blow-dry or styling added after.
The formulas are designed to soothe, but individual sensitivity varies. We perform a brief scalp assessment and can do a patch test prior to full application. If you have known seaweed or aloe allergies, inform us so we can recommend alternatives.
Most clients benefit from treatments every four to six weeks to maintain moisture, reduce breakage, and support scalp health. Thicker, drier, or chemically processed hair may need treatment every three to four weeks. We'll customize scheduling after a consultation.
We don’t include hot work or styling with this service, so color or braiding in the same appointment depends on availability and timing. If you plan to color or braid, schedule those services separately or let us coordinate an extended appointment to avoid compromising treatment results.
You’ll notice improved softness, shine, and easier detangling immediately after treatment. Longevity varies by hair type, care routine, and environmental exposure — expect benefits to last several weeks with proper maintenance, and schedule follow-up treatments to sustain results.
